Sure, if you want to check emails here and there using your cell phone plan as a hotspot is adequate. But if you are intending to stream movies, download pictures to your drop box, or run a carbonite backup, a cellphone is not effective. The battery will drain, the quality of your videos will suffer, and you can forget that carbonite back up. The ultimate result is a dead phone when you need it for what it was meant to do.
